Our Mission
At Lens Light Life, we believe photography is at its best when it brings people together. Our mission is to celebrate, inspire and support women photographers of every genre, every experience level and every creative path. Through stories, education and a generous community, we aim to encourage women to see more, create more and share their unique perspective with confidence. Lens Light Life grew from one of those “what if?” moments—the idea of creating a space where women could learn, connect, share their work and be inspired through photography. It has become as much about community as it is about photographs.
We believe creativity grows when it is shared, and there is something incredibly powerful about women encouraging, supporting and creating opportunities for one another.
Photography has also given us an excuse to explore. Whether we are wandering through a city with a camera, standing beside the ocean, travelling somewhere completely unfamiliar or simply looking differently at somewhere we have seen a hundred times before, we are happiest when there is something new to discover.
Drawn to people who are passionate about what they do. We love hearing their stories, learning from them and bringing people together who might inspire each other.
Away from the camera, we are fiercely loyal, generous and happiest when we are sharing experiences with the people we care about. We value friendship, humour and people who don’t take themselves too seriously. We believe the best memories usually come from saying yes to something unexpected.
Life is meant to be lived with curiosity, laughter and a healthy dose of adventure.

Photography has always been about possibility for me.
Wherever I stand, I’m constantly looking beyond the obvious—searching for different angles, unexpected light and new ways to tell the story of a place. I’m fascinated by the way a small change in perspective can completely transform what we see.
For me, photography isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about curiosity, experimentation and being willing to try something simply to see what might happen. Some of my favourite images have come from following an instinct rather than a plan.
I see technology as something that expands creativity rather than defines it. I love exploring new cameras, old cameras, film, digital, drones and whatever comes next. They are all simply different tools for telling stories. The important part is the person behind them—their imagination, their perspective and the way they choose to see the world.
That same curiosity tends to find its way into everything I do. I’m an ideas person. I love asking “what if?”, starting conversations and turning ideas that might initially sound slightly crazy into something real.

There’s something about standing quietly as the day begins or ends that brings me completely into the moment.
Photography first found me in my twenties, before taking a back seat as my corporate career took me around the world. In 2019, a landscape photography workshop in New Zealand reignited a passion that has shaped my life ever since.
I enjoy exploring architecture, street and portrait photography, but I always find myself returning to landscapes. Sunrise feels full of possibility; sunset is a quiet nod of gratitude for the day that’s been. When the light works its magic, I come home with a photograph that lets me relive that moment all over again.
Photography has introduced me to an extraordinary community of women who generously share their knowledge, encourage one another and genuinely celebrate each other’s successes. Lens Light Life grew from that same belief – that photography is even more rewarding when it’s shared. My hope is that everyone who becomes part of the Lens Light Life community discovers that same sense of belonging… and perhaps a little shot of happy of their own.
